What is the Lackawanna Life Center Campus?
Our desire is to build within our community the model of how to build a healthy community, by providing the support services that are desperately needed in a community.

Who are we?

The Lackawanna Life Center Campus was formed out of a vision that was God given through the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Keith D. Mobley)

As pastor of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in the City of Lackawanna, New York, I am led to believe that the church must play a role in the wellness of the community we serve. I believe what the bible teaches us, is we must do unto others as we would have them do unto us. We all value the help we have received from others, and we must also have the willingness to help where we can.

Where is the Lackawanna Life center campus located?

We are embarking on construction the Lackawanna Life Center Campus in 1st ward of the City of Lackawanna, NY. Our desire is to bring this project into the heart of the city where support is significantly needed.

When will the Lackawanna Life center campus begin?

We have begun our work to bring this project to life, through many donations and hard work of so many our work is ongoing. We will continue to build this work around the many needs of our community.

How will the Life Center campus work?

We are a Non-For-Profit LLC and through community support we have begun this work. We are open to donations as with great work there is the need for resources.

Why is there a need for this work the Lackawanna Life Center campus will provide?

The Lackawanna Life Center Campus is being designed to address many of the major plights within the City of Lackawanna. Prior to the global COVID-19 pandemic the City of Lackawanna, particularly the 1st ward citizens, lack many, if not, all of the essential needs found in many other communities. When the pandemic started and the state governmental orders went into effect, the pandemic  further exposed the significant economic inequalities that currently exist, including the lack of medical treatment centers, local grocery stores, youth athletic facilities, and outdated and unsafe affordable housing. Our goal of developing the Lackawanna Life Center Campus is to begin to address many of our community needs. We are in the process of building a medical facility, daycare, senior housing, and gym. we do acknowledge that our plans are not nearly enough but we believe it is a start.
